Ding-Jo H. Currie
President
Ding-Jo Hsia Currie, Ph.D., is President of Lingnan Foundation and Distinguished Faculty in the Higher Educational Leadership Program at California State University Fullerton, College of Education. As a nationally and internationally recognized leader, Dr. Currie has more than 30 years of experience in the higher education under various roles. She had retired as Chancellor of Coast Colleges with oversight of three outstanding colleges in Orange County, California – Orange Coast College, Golden West College, and Coastline College. Prior to becoming Chancellor, Dr. Currie served as President of Coastline Community College, a premier leader in technology and distance learning. Dr. Currie has been called upon to lead in distinguished leadership roles, such as Board Chair of American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and Board of Director for American Council of Education (ACE), Chair of Advisory Panel for College board (CCAP), and she is currently serving as Board member, Women on the Move Network, Board member of Higher Education Resource Services (HERS), Board member of Air War University of U.S. Air Force appointed by the United States Secretary of Defense, Board member of Manchester University and is active on many other local organizations. Dr. Currie obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in Intercultural/International Education. She also holds degrees in Mathematics, Psychology and Counseling.

Ian J. Heuer
Director of Grants
Programs and Operations
Ian Heuer is a higher education professional working at the intersection between international relations, international academic and educational exchange, and China’s global engagement. Prior to joining the Lingnan Foundation, Ian lived and worked in Guangzhou, China for seven years. He first spent two years as a student at the Sun Yat-sen University International Chinese Language School, where he developed full professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. He then spent the subsequent five years as a staff member in Sun Yat-sen University’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange. In his professional roles at Sun Yat-sen University, Ian was responsible for the development and management of institutional partnerships between SYSU and universities and organizations around the world. Ian received his bachelor of arts degree in linguistics from the University of Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate summa cum laude honors thesis on topics in Siouan phonology and phonotactics.
