Thanks to the wonderful efforts of Trustee Albert Chen to organize a 1-week learning tour, the 2017 Lingnan W.T. Chan Fellows arrived in Indianapolis on October 13th to experience life in middle America. While in Indiana, they will:
- visit Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis,
- learn about the School of Philanthropy, United Way and local charitable efforts such as Second Helpings which works on hunger issues
- listen to classical a concert with music by American Masters: Bernstein & Copland
- meet with the mayor of the city Carmel and learn about that city's Green Initiatives,
- visit a prairie farm museum,
- experience a high school football game
- view Fall foliage
- - and more!
We look forward to learning about their impressions of Indiana!
