Description: Yan Chen interned at the community-based AIDS Project of the East Bay (APEB), which provides a variety of services to the HIV positive community including assistance accessing medical care, housing, and financial resources. APEB also provides HIV testing and counseling as well as mental health support and education and outreach programs. Yan worked as a communication and program assistant focused on facilitating communication and partnerships between APEB and the community through a website construction project and a fund raising project.
