Description: Wenling LU (Charlotte) is a 3rd year undergraduate majoring in Translation at Lingnan University Hong Kong. With a fascination with the Lingnan spirit, as well as an individual ambition to change the world, she applied for this Fellowship. Her interest is in gender issues, specifically, in promoting feminism in both Hong Kong and mainland China. She hopes the Lingnan W.T. Fellowship will allow her to explore gender issues through hands-on experience in the US. Her voluntary experience in Food Angel fired her interest in gender issues and the internship experience at VIP company, in Guangzhou, confirmed her determination to be devoted to the feminist movement. More than females, there are more underprivileged groups like children as well as elderly that requires attention, which she is striving to fight for.
