Description: Pang Suk Yi, Suke, interned at the Venice Family Clinic. Founded in 1970, the Clinic is now the largest free clinic in the United States, providing over 80,000 patient visits per year. It offers integrative medical care to people in need, including the uninsured and homeless. Each year, over 2,000 volunteers are attracted by the Clinic's mission to donate their time and professional skills. Suke worked for the Volunteer Service Department which organizes the volunteers coming to the Clinic. She helped with the administrative duties in the department and was in charge of the Pediatric Literacy Program, in which each child patient is given a new book to promote early literacy.
