Description: Jealdrin Cortez Madrid is a third-year undergraduate student studying Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and International Business at the Lingnan University in Hong Kong. He applied to the Lingnan W.T. Chan Fellows Program in order to explore issues revolving around the intersection of culture and mental health within youth populations. He considers public service an integral part of his experience and has participated in various service projects and organizations including Art Wonderland where he serves as an English Tutor for students from Kindergarten 3 to Primary 2. Issues surrounding diversity within the conversation of mental health and youth development are very close to his heart, and he hopes to use this experience to help reach his goal of educating youth around the world and advocating for the promotion of public service within youth culture as a method of dealing with current mental health taboos.
