Description: Zikai Li interned at the UC Berkeley Center for Labor Research and Education, where he worked on and learned about labor issues in China and the US. He also volunteered as a translator and interpreter at the Chinese Progressive Association. Informed and inspired by the Chan Fellowship Program, he is currently learning about ethnic relations at China’s south-western periphery and social impacts of the hukou system, in addition to wrapping up his undergraduate studies at Sun Yat-sen University. He is strongly interested in the study of labor issues, ethnic politics, and the development of evidence-based social interventions, and aims to pursue a graduate degree in one of these fields.
