Description: Su Lintong is a senior student majoring in Economics at Sun Yat-sen University. She has her endless energy on communicating with different people, exploring new fields, and organizing and creating different events. She has participated in some field research on river pollution and immigrant workers; she has interviewed some local residents and produced documentaries on the issues. Having her listened to many stories from different roles in our society, she has attached more importance to the social welfare. As one of her unforgettable experiences on campus, she has organized three entertainment events as a project manager and created shining stages for students. In the outside the campus, she interned in the prestigious food company called Mars where she brought in her strong passion and creativity throughout her internship. Currently, she is an intern at UCLA Downtown Labor Center that works to bring workers, faculty, and policymakers together to address the most critical issues that workers today get to face. Her job as a project assistant throughout the four months of internship includes communicating with Shanghai Delegation, holding an exhibition of undocumented immigrant voices, and hosting the event of state of Los Angeles Labor. She appreciates being a member of the Labor Center since she could meet many people from different background during her work. More importantly, there are lots of meaningful research and projects aimed to help students at university and those who are unemployed. The abundant publications available at the Labor Center enable her to concentrate on learning and thinking on her fields of interests.
