Description: Hong Kiu “Ian” Tsui is a third-year undergraduate student studying English at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Ian finds happiness in serving fellow members of his community. He is especially interested in helping immigrants integrate into new communities as he has done for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. He is deeply concern with the discrimination and differential treatment faced by new immigrants to Hong Kong. He has worked with local ethnic minorities population with Lingnan’s High-flyers program. He was also the president of the University’s Hostel Association where he led events that help freshmen to quickly adapt to the university environment. Ian hopes to work with new immigrants to the U.S. or youth facing discrimination because of their ethnicity during his time with a U.S. NGO and to be able to apply the skills he learns to helping the minorities population in Hong Kong.
